I am sure all of you have done a good job and the first quarter will yield you more than expected results. But this is possible only if you are keeping up with the ever-changing trends and being serious about what is going in the market. 

Now, when I talk about 2020, it is by default a synonym of the digital world. We are practical, eating, living and breathing in the virtual digital world. And if this is it, then establishing your presence in this world is the topmost priority.

If you have been following my blogs, I am sure I do not have to talk again about the most important factor responsible for your destiny in the digital world.

  1. Expertise: Google identifies if the writer is an expert in the content he has written. Is the author genuine and have the credentials to back their expertise. 
  2. Authoritativeness: this applies to the main content, the author and the website it appears on. This basically means, people who are reading your content, know you are aware of your background and consider you to be a leader in your industry. 
  3. Trustworthiness: This is also like authoritativeness and evaluates the main content, the author and the website. Here, it means that your readers trust you to provide accurate and genuine information. 

Now comes the question, how do you fulfill all the parameters of EAT and YMYL? The answer is not as complicated as you think it to be. On the contrary, it is very simple. The answer is high-quality content, that is completely user-focused. 

The main purpose of your content should be for the benefit of the reader. It should be written by the expert and keep in mind that your content will and can affect the lives and livelihood of your readers (YMYL parameters).

So instead of wasting your time, hunting the secret of how Google algorithms work, concentrate on EAT and YMYL. If you get this right, the algorithms will knock your door instead of the other way round.
